Snow adds to Gungahlin's mixed bag of October weather.
Weather conditions across Gungahlin during October were generally cooler and wetter than normal, but it was the early morning snow flurries on October 16 that will be remembered most.

The wind and snow combined to keep Gungahlin's maximum temperature to just 8.2°C.

Winds at the Weather Centre averaged at 2.6 km/h during October, with the strongest gust for the month 54.7 km/h from the N/NW, recorded on October 15.
As predicted, heavy rain continued across the region during October, with Gungahlin recording 69.8mm during the month, over 12 days. This compares to Gungahlin’s longer term November average of 9.7°C to 23.8°C. Rainfall prospects continue to look positive, with above average falls likely till the end of the year. With this in mind, Gungahlin should receive 70mm of rain during November, up on the longer term average of 65.0mm.
