After a cool summer maximum of 18°C on January 18, clear overnight skies and calm winds allowed the temperature to drop to just 4.6°C at 6.23am this morning (January 19).

The previous lowest January minimum in Gungahlin was 5.0°C, recorded on 24 January 2000.
